Definition of "resonant link inverter" |
an inverter that uses a resonant circuit to convert a constant DC voltage to a pulsating DC voltage. The switching elements in the inverter are then turned off during the times that the input voltage is zero, a technique referred to as softswitching. Resonant switching techniques reduce the switching losses and allow high switching frequency operation to reduce the size of magnetic components in the inverter unit. |
