Stable and Unstable Systems For a bounded input x(t) to a system, if the output y(t) of the system is bounded, the system is called bounded-input/bounded-output (BIBO) stable system. A linear system is BIBO stable system if and only if its impulse response is absolutely integrable, i.e., / = ∫Ih(t)I dt < ∞. If a system has unbounded output for a bounded input, the system becomes an unstable system. | |
